Somebody with the initials JP once owned this one (maybe an old girlfriend, and I kept the records?), because those initials are on the inside sleeve and even the record label area on one side. There are even the remnants of a little label in the left corner of the album front. A piece of tape helped hold the inside spine in place, too. So this album cover looks like it’s been around, used. Not an impostor. Not a token jazz album by any means, but one that has been treasured, passed around, and pored over. But surprisingly, the LP vinyl record itself (AS-9106) has some smudges and scratches but plays straight through on my turntable. Love the inner sleeve Impulse! advertising.
