Description
This is Impulse Records A-9016, John Coltrane Kulu Se Mama, a black and orange, ABC-Paramount label original mono issue of this great record with Van Gelder stamped in the dead wax. The record is in VG++ condition showing a few light sleeve marks that do not affect play, and one shallow, broad mark at the end of side 1 which causes 3-4 very light background clicks at the end of the side. The glossy gate-fold cover has a small bump on the top fold and a 1/2" loss on the spine but is otherwise excellent and intact. The labels are excellent with light spindle marks. The record was played on a Linn Sondek LP12 in mono mode and cleaned on a VPI 17. This is an excellent collector's grade copy of this rare original mono issue.
