John Coltrane My Favorite Things 1962 Stereo Repress Atlantic Green/Blue VG/VG+!
For auction is a very good listeners copy of My Favorite Things by legendary American jazz saxophonist, John Coltrane. His seventh studio album overall but his third on the Atlantic label. Originally released in March 1961, My Favorite Things was Coltrane’s first album to feature him on soprano sax. It was a commercial success and has become a jazz classic. In 1998 it was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame and has been certified gold, selling 500,000 copies in the US. This copy is a 1962 stereo repress with green/blue Atlantic labels.
Vinyl is play graded VG. There is a name written on the Side 1 label. Record has many light visible surface marks and hairlines but nothing deep that can be felt. Plays with mild background noise at times that is never overwhelming. Plays through with no skips or jumps. Please see pics.
Cover is in VG+ condition. Glossy finish on front. Mild shelf wear on corners and seams but no splits. Title is perfectly legible. Front has some scratches along white“Stereo” on upper right side. Some tiny creases along edges on front. Ring wear and stains on back. Please see pics.
