Description

My Favorite Things is an album by the American Jazz saxophonist . It was released on the Atlantic Records label in March 1961. It was his first recording playing soprano sax which was gifted to him by Miles Davis in 1960 while on tour in Europe. The title track, a George Gershwin classic from The Sound Of Music became a hit and Coltrane’s most requested number. After leaving Davis he quickly formed his famous Quartet with McCoy Tyner on piano, Steve Davis on bass and Elvin Jones on drums. OG mono copy from 1961.
