Description

This is Atlantic Records SD 1382 John Coltrane Plays The Blues, a green and blue label stereo issue with the black fan logo on a white background and the Atlantic name shown vertically. This is an early 2nd pressing (1964) on heavy vinyl with excellent sound. The album features McCoy Tyner and Elvin Jones. The record is in VG++ condition showing only light paper sleeve marks and playing quietly throughout, except for the beginning of side 1 track 1 where there is some light background crackle in the quiet spots. The labels are perfect. The original glossy cover has some discoloration on the lower left and a name stamp on the back, but is otherwise excellent and intact. The record was cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12. This is part of a large Jazz record collection I will be offering in the next few months.
