Description

This is Prestige Records PRLP 7142, John Coltrane Soultrane, a yellow, Bergenfield NJ, deep groove label, original mono issue of this classic record with RVG stamped in the dead wax. The record is in VG+ condition showing light marks on both sides and playing quietly throughout, except for occasional light background crackle audible mostly in the quiet spots. This is still a very pleasurable listening experience. The glossy cover shows some age spots on the back and a 3" split on the top seam (see photo) but is otherwise excellent and intact. The labels are excellent and show only light spindle marks. The record was cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12 in mono mode.
