Description

This is Prestige Records PRLP 7243, John Coltrane Standard Coltrane, a yellow labeled, deep groove (on side 1 only), original mono issue with Van Gelder in the dead wax, featuring Red Garland, Wilbur Harden, and Paul Chambers. The record is in near mint condition showing very few signs of use and playing quietly throughout.  The labels are excellent, showing only very few, light spindle marks. The original glossy cover (with original album cover inner sleeve) has a small 1/8" bump on the right corners, but is also near mint.  This is a superb copy of this wonderful  original collector's piece offered without a reserve. The record was cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12. This is part of a large Jazz record collection I will be offering in the next few months.
