John Coltrane on Mount Meru (5 LPs, Complete) on Historic Performances. This is the original complete first edition of John Coltrane “At Mount Meru” on Historic Performances HLP 1, 2, 3, 5, and 6. The records are in new condition, with a high luster; perhaps unused. The covers are of the thin European style and their condition is as follows: #1 – superficial crease at the top right corner; #2 – sun-bleached around the edges, 2 ½” split at the center of the top seam, 1 ¼” split at the center of the spine, 1” split at the center of the bottom seam; #3 – the opening corners have superficial creases, 1 ½” at the top right and 2 ½” at the bottom right; #5 – 1 ½” split at the center of the top seam, ¾” split at the center of the spine; #6 – 1 ½” split at the center of the top seam, ¼” split/wear on the bottom seam, at the opening. As issued, labels and record covers are color-coordinated (except for HLP 6): HLP 1 white, HLP 2 green, HLP 3 yellow, HLP 5 red, HLP 6 orange cover, white label. The records account for three performances in Stockholm Sweden on November 23, 1961 (Coltrane, Dolphy, Tyner, Workman, Jones), November 19, 1962 (Coltrane, Tyner, Garrison, Jones), and October 22, 1963 (Coltrane, Tyner, Garrison, Jones). $250.00..
