Over the next several months we have the pleasure of listing a spectacular vinyl collection of over 6000 LP's. This collection consisting of mostly Jazz but also Blues, Folk ,Rock, Soundtracks and Classical was kept in amazing condition. Most of the records were played once, transferred to tape for listening and then stored away in cliplock sealed bags in specially made cupboards. The overall condition of this collection is sublime to say the least and whatever items I list as Near Mint you can be assured that it was probaly only ever played once!! Over the last few weeks you may have noticed some of the lovely jazz & rock titles I have listed, these are just the tip of the iceberg here. I hope you enjoy seeing these listings as much as I have in offering them.
In 1967, Takoma decided to re-record Fahey's Blind Joe Death for the stereo market. Thus, although the songs here were first recorded by Fahey for his rare, self-pressed edition of Blind Joe Death from 1959, this actually marks the third version of the record, each of which had presented different performances of the same material. To make matters more confusing, it was issued with the same catalog number as the 1964 release that had mixed cuts from the 1959 Blind Joe Death LP with 1964 remakes of Blind Joe Death material. The important thing for consumers to note is that the 1967 version of Takoma 1002, though featuring the same songs as the 1964 version of Takoma 1002, has entirely different performances.
Tracks: On doing an evil deed blues/ St. Louis blues/ Poor boy long ways from home/ Uncloudy day/ John Henry/ In Christ there is no east or west/ The transcendental waterfall/ Desperate man blues/ Sun gonna shine in my back door someday blues/ Sligo river blues/ I'm gonna do all I can for my lord.
There are no signs of spindle marks on labels. Record has a few light scuff marks and is in Excellent condition. Cover is stunning like new and in Near Mint condition.

Wrapping method: All records are sent in stiff cardboard mailers then wrapped in brown paper and sealed around edges with brown packaging tape. Records are taken out of sleeve to avoid seam splits and ring wear.
Post methods within Australia: All records are posted via Australia Post. Within Australia all items come with a tracking number.
Post method for overseas: All parcels are sent via Australia Post and are sent on a standard airmail service. There are no tracking numbers on these items. If you require a tracking number the item will have to be sent as an insured item which incurs a further postage fee.
