Description
The Estrus 7” EP/single is an essential, albeit incredibly rare, item for serious fans and vinyl junkies wishing to finally complete or add to their John Frusciante collection and runs for a total time of 8:42. It was available as a direct order from Birdman Records for a very short time in 1997 as part of a limited promotional pressing prior to their release of John’s second solo album, Smile From The Streets You Hold.
The album Smile From The Streets You Hold contains the song Estrus, although even the regular release CDs of the LP are now being sold for many times the original price due to scarcity.
The Estrus EP/single is one of the rarest and most collectible records in John’s back catalogue, with prices having risen to upwards of £400 over the last 20 years and is highly coveted by collectors in virtually mint condition such as this.
Outside Space, the B-side of the Estrus EP/single, is unique to this release and will be immediately recognisable as the dubbed in outro of the song Mascara from John’s groundbreaking first (double) album, Niandra LaDes and Usually Just A T-Shirt. However, where the Mascara outro ends, Outside Space is only just beginning; although it fades out on Niandra LaDes after around 10 seconds, the track runs its full length of 6:27 on the Estrus EP/single and is a must-have for serious John Frusciante fans wishing to own the entire back catalogue.
I will of course lovingly package it up using plenty of bubble wrap and post it to your front door ASAP fully tracked and signed for.
