Up for auction is a copy of the ultra rare and out of print Estrus EP by John Frusciante.
Condition:
Cover: Excellent (very minor edge wear)
Vinyl: Excellent
The record has been housed upright and kept in a plastic sleeve to preserve its condition. If you’re a John Frusciante fan then you know full well that this is the rarest and most highly sought after release in his catalogue. I use to think that only 300 of these existed (Wikipedia now reads 400), however there is word that only 175 may have been pressed. Whatever the official number is, there’s no doubt that this holy grail of John Frusciante records. I’ve taken a couple of photos of the cover on a black surface to try and show the extent of the edge wear, it’s minimal. The record is in excellent condition and plays perfectly. The paper vinyl slip has a small tear on one side. I’ve always housed the record outside of the cover (it’s a tight fit) to try to avoid wear to both the cover and vinyl. The starting bid is $490 (I’ve seen this item sell for over $1000 on Ebay and on more than one occasion) and I’m offering free shipping. This record is sure to only become rarer and increase in value, so snag it while you can JF fanatics.
