 John Hardee Tenor Sax on Blue Note Records. This is the original, 78 rpm release, Blue Note Album #101 containing 3 10" 78rpm records #'s 514, 520 and 521. From the liner notes: "The present records introduce two performing groups, namely John Hardee's Swingtet  and John Hardee's Sextet. The Swingtet consists of John Hardee, tenor sax, Sammy Benskin, piano, Tiny Grimes, guitar, John Simmons Bass, Sidney Catlett, Drums. The Sextet consists of Hardee, Benskin, and Catlett of the former group; also William Bivens, vibraphone, Jimmy Shirley, guitar and Eugene Ramey, bass.

We have had success in shipping these fragile records both domestically and internationally. Each record will be sandwiched between cardboard and secured within a box with padding. This box will in turn be placed in another yet larger box with an extra inch of padding top and bottom and around the edges.

CONDITION: These records appear to be in excellent condition.  I did not see any scratches or cracks or damage, in fact, the spindle holes look to have had very little use.  I do not have the equipment to play them so this evaluation is strictly visual. The paper album is definitely excellent with no tears on the spine, just a little rubbing on the front surface and a few bumped corners. These records come from a collection which was passed down within a family, the original owner having passed. The last time they saw the market was when they were bought, probably in the 40-50s.
