Description
This listing is for a vintage vinyl LP of the album by John Hartford called Morning Bugle.
He is largely credited for inventing the musical style known as "Newgrass". He played the banjo, fiddle, guitar and was a singer-songwriter.
This is a US first pressing white label promo version released in 1972 by Warner Bros. Records with catalog # BS 2651.
This record comes from the collection of a former record store owner who's owned it since they received it new in 1972.
Since then it's been properly taken care of and was only taken out of storage very recently. Before that it had not been played in over 45+ years.
Record Condition:
Moderate visible surface wear is present in the way of mostly light scuff marks.
Clean center labels (but there is a sticker on one of them).
Vinyl still has a very nice gloss.
There's also some light dust/dirt and a few finger print smudges, so a thorough cleaning would remove that and probably brighten the sound even more.
Industry Grade: VG+.
Jacket Condition:
Minor to moderate signs of shelf wear present on edges, spine, and corners.
Some moderate ring wear is present.
No seam splits or any other major defects.
Inner Sleeve: Original record label branded paper inner sleeve.
Industry Grade: Either a Strong VG or Low End VG+.
