Description

Original, deep groove. Leader, LaPorta, clarinet, with Louis Mucci, trumpet; Wally Cirillo, piano; Richard Carter bass; Ed Shaughnessy, drums. 6 tracks. Very rare.

Cover: Good + 5" splits on the bottom and top edges. "Sample" written n red pencil across the notes on the back cover.

Record: VG++ or Better Visually shows no wear. Possibly played only 1 time. No markings on the vinyl surface. The record has an unplayed appearance. There is some light static-like groove noise on Tracks 2 & 3 on Side 1. This appears to be in the pressing as there is no sign of wear. Side 2 has only a minor 1 or 2 revolutions of static-like groove noise on Tracks 2 & 3 with a few light clicks on Track 3. I have graded this on the basis of the light noise described. The noise is in the quality of the early 10" pressing and is not a function of wear. I have graded conservatively. Audibly checked.
