Year: 1965Condition: Cover is EX+, Vinyl is VG+ / EX+.
On offer is a very nice UK release of John Lee Hooker's 'House of the Blues', released in 1965 on the Pye International label. A highly regarded blues masterpiece which includes the stunning 'Walking the Boogie' among others. It has become almost impossible to find a top copy of this album, this particular copy although not mint is the best I have ever had or seen. It comes from our own collection and has been well cared for.
The vinyl is graded VG+ for side 1 and Excellent+ for side 2. But for a tiny needle drop on side 1 this would easily grade EX+ and is otherwise very clean and has had only a few careful plays.
The solid glossy front laminated flip back cover is graded EX+ and is very clean. The reverse is excellent and clean with some light ageing. The spine is solid and all text is legible.
Labels are Excellent and very clean.
Original red Pye poly lined inner sleeve is excellent with some ageing and 2 inch split to bottom centre.
