Presenting a rare and highly collectable vinyl album, courtesy of John Lee Hooker.
Entitled ‘Don’t Turn Me From Your Door’, the caption ‘John Lee Hooker Sings His Blues’ is also presented on the sleeve. The emotive and volatile work of Hooker can be easily recognized, having gained global recognition for his exceptional talent. Hooker suffered from a slight stammer when speaking and presented a slight individual in person, but this was obscured when he sang and played his guitar. A leading light of the Blues community, Hooker displayed his ability to play solo or with as part of a small blues band.
The album features classic sounds such as Stuttering Blues, Love My Baby, My Baby Don’t Love Me and Drifting Blues. Recorded by Atco, the vinyl was produced in 1963 by the Decca Record Company Limited for London Atlantic. The speed is 33 Revolutions Per Minute (RPM). The record number is HAK.8097, and is on mono.
The condition of the vinyl sleeve is in excellent condition, whilst the record itself is also in excellent condition.
