JOHN LEE HOOKER - THE BIG SOUL OF - UK 1ST PRESS STATESIDE RECORDS
CAT. NO. SL-10053 MONO
Year: 1963 UK 1ST ISSUECondition: Cover is VG+, Vinyl is EX.
On offer is a excellent pressing of J L Hooker's 'The Big Soul of ...', released in the UK in 1963 on the black and green Stateside label. This is a fantastic John Lee Hooker blues album and certainly one of the best he recorded. It comes from our own collection and has been well cared for.
The vinyl is graded Excellent and is very clean, barely played, no visable scratches or defects at all - superb example. Playback is excellent!
The front laminated flipback sleeve is clean but does have creases and some minor corner wear which is very common with this album, VG+ or better. The reverse is clean but has some age/ handling mark at centre of opening edge. The spine is solid and all text is clearly visable.
Green on Black Labels are Excellent with minimal light spindle marks.
Original Emitex poly-lined inner sleeve is Excellent, no splits or writing, just a little light ageing.
W e try to be as conservative as possible in Grading and give a clear honest description so you will be happy with your purchase.
