Description
Imagine is the second studio album by the British musician and ex-Beatle. It was released in September 1971 on Apple Records. Co-produced by John , Yoko and Phil Spector. The album is simply exquisite and contains the title song, widely considered his signature song. Musicians included George Harrison, Nicky Hopkins, Klaus Voorman, Alan White and Jim Keltner. Its lyrics reflect themes of peace, love, politics and Lennon’s own experiences with primal scream therapy. It was an immediate commercial and critical success hitting #1 on UK and US Top Albums charts. Was voted 80 on Rolling Stones 500 Greatest All Time Albums list.
