Description

Up for Sale is one of the MOST RARE Beatles/Lennon Solo Vinyl Lp's available!
This is an ORIGINAL copy of the John Lennon Roots album released back in 1975 and it was ONLY AVAILABLE for 3 days on TV Mail Order before it was pulled by Lennon's record company. Of the 3,000 produced apparently just under 1,300 copies were bought and shipped out to buyers. So this copy is 1 of under 1,300 ONLY!!!
The Lp's condition I will severely downgrade to a G(Good) or F(Fair),whichever you prefer. I've only cleaned this Lp with De-ionized water and a soft shamee,no chemicals, nothing. Even with all the surface scratches and the scratches on both sides this Lp does play all the way through without skipping. The Lp when playing Side B shows a warp, which can be fixed if you have a Vinyl Flattener or you can bake the Lp to flatten it. There is a small chip on the side of the Lp which does not effect play since it's close to the very, very outter edge away from where you put the needle down for either Side A or Side B.
Side A -Song 1-crackle can be heard at the beginning and end of the song, but not as much in the middle when the song is blasting and at it's loudest. Song 2- not much if any crackle heard except as the song fades out at the end before Song 3 starts. Song 3-light to medium pop from scratch on the Vinyl at the beginning and and it's heard louder and gets a little louder as the song continues in the middle there's a loud pop for a few rotations at the very end. Song 4- light pop and crackle continue into this song. Song 5- not much if any crackle heard especially since the song is nice and loud already. Song 6-sounds good not much if any noise distraction. Song 7- same as song #6. Song 8-same as song's 6 & 7.
Side B- Song 1- light medium crackle to start, crackle can be heard more during the slightly quieter parts, crackle heard at the end more so. Song 2- sounds good, not much crackle can be heard because of the loud percussion and then the guitar that comes in,crackle at the very, very end. Song 3-not much if any noise heard until the end of the song. Song 4- some light pops and crackle heard at the end. Song 5- pops continue into the song and get slightly louder but go away after a few rotations, there is a pop heard from a scratch pictured, but the song plays through without skipping or stopping. Song 6- plays fine for it's age and condition. Song 7- sounds good,no real issues with this song either considering it's age and condition.
The Cover I will downgrade severely as well, and rate it at F or G. The cover has a little bend to it when looked at it from an angle. The main issue is that someone unfortunately used the back cover as a spray paint blocker of some sort and green spray paint got on it sometime in the past. If your used to or comfortable with trying to remove spray paint from paper/cardboard of this type with possible nail polish remover or vinegar please feel free to do so. The song titles on the right hand side or still pretty easy to make out, which is a good thing. There are no serious tears, rips or hole punches on this Lp cover which is a good thing considering the Lp Cover is 45 years old.
ANY and ALL questions please feel free and please do so BEFORE bidding/buying this Lp. Thank you.
