Description

      This is a very nice copy of John Lennon and Yoko Ono's LP "Two Virgins" on Apple Records/ Tetragrammaton Records T-5001 from 1969. This is a legitimate copy, according to Perry Cox and Jeff Daniels' Beatles price guide. There were many counterfeits available during the 1970's and 1980's, but according to the book, this is the real thing!
      First, there is the "plain brown paper wrapper" that is to hide the nude photos of John and Yoko. I listed it as VG+ because it is the real thing, with the right color paper, the right size paper, and the 2" sticker that held the whole thing together. However, this copy has a tear on the front and the remains of two pieces of scotch tape, that have now dried and some general wear along the edges..
      Then there is the infamous inner sleeve. This is made of heavier stock paper, similar to what LP OUTER covers are made of. One side is a frontal photo of both John and Yoko totally nude. The other side shows them totally nude from the backside. The condition of this inner sleeve is nice with only two small wrinkles and some slight aging and yellowing.
      The vinyl is amazing! It looks Mint and it plays in Mint condition. Looking at it under a 100 watt bulb, it looks Mint, with one tiny mark on each side that is inaudible! It is beautiful!
      Plus, according to the book mentioned above, this is the rarest version of the "Two Virgins" LP. This copy was pressed by "Bestway" and "Bestway" and the side numbers are etched into the trail off areas of this copy. The "Bestway" pressings are the most valuable, according to the book.
      So, here is a genuine copy of one of John Lennon's experimental LP's that he did with Yoko back in the 1960's. This copy is now 50 years old!
