See my other auctions this week for a bunch of Beatles LPs, including UK and high grade US pressings! Here’s a very rare original UK pressing of the John Lennon & Yoko Ono album entitled “Unfinished Music No. 1 -Two Virgins” This is a first UK pressing on the Apple label, number 613012 with the Track Records logo on the label. Only 5,000 copies of this LP were ever pressed. Due to the nature of the cover, EMI refused to distribute the disc or print the covers, therefore Track records handled distribution. It has the “Made In Merrie England” print on the cover, and the “Printed by Technink Limited”, which was the small independent company that ended up doing the printing job. There is no brown paper bag- these original copies did not come with one. The vinyl grades VG+. Matrix numbers are SAPCOR 2A-1 1L and SAPCOR 2B-1 1H. The cover shows general wear and a couple spots of lifted lamination on the back… however there are no seam splits. Very rare album! INTERNATIONAL BIDS WELCOME.
