John Lennon & Yoko Ono – Wedding Album – Japan LP

Wedding Album is the last in a series of three experimental albums by John Lennon and Yoko Ono. Released in 1969, it consisted of two tracks, one on each side of the record.

"John & Yoko", the first side, is a recording of the lovebirds calling to each other, through a range of emotions, over the sound of their heartbeats.

"Amsterdam", the second side, consists of interviews, conversations, and captured sounds during the couple's famous "Bed-In" honeymoon, after being married on March 20 of that year. Interestingly, a brief excerpt of the Beatles song, "Because" appears on this side.

Wedding Album is an elaborate box set which includes photos of the ceremony, drawings by Lennon, a reproduction of the marriage certificate, a picture of a slice of the wedding cake, and a booklet of press clippings about the couple.

This auction is for a Japanese pressing of Wedding Album. It comes complete with John’s poster/drawings (VG+), The Press booklet (VG+), The Wedding photos/poster (VG+), the post card (Mint), the photo-booth 4-photo strip (Mint), the piece of wedding cake photo (NM) and the marriage certificate pasted to the inside of the box top by Odeon, not me. The record and jacket are Near Mint. The record has never been played.
