Description

Here's a beautiful, Mint copy of John Lennon's 45 RPM single "Slippin' And Slidin'" on Apple 1883 from June, 1975.
This single was withdrawn and so no commercial copies were produced.
This is the Promo copy which was supposed to go out to radio stations to promote the commercial copy. However, Apple decided not to issue commercial copies at all and so only Promo copies like this exist.
The intended single was supposed to be "Slippin' And Slidin'" backed with "Ain't That A Shame" and that was to be Apple 1883.
(I am selling the intended "B" Side, "Ain't That A Shame" elsewhere on Ebay. That is also a Mint Promo copy.)
I purchased this 45 in 1975 and I have had it sealed in my collection all these years.
***This 45 has NEVER been played and so it is in the finest condition imaginable!
"Slippin' And Slidin'" is Mono on the full Apple side and in Stereo on the sliced Apple side.
This single came in the special Capitol Records sleeve indicating that this record is "Hot Stuff" and so radio stations should "Rush" this into their play list!! It is also referred to as "An important new record by and outstanding artist."
So, I have had this 45 for 50 years now and I want it to have a new home where something this rare and in this perfect condition can be appreciated!
Shipping/ Handling will be $5.99 Media Mail within the U.S. I will double box this item in order to protect it in the mail. I will also ship this item "Restricted Delivery" so that only the winner of this record will be able to receive it from the post office. And, the winner will have to show photo ID in order to receive it from the post office.
