JOHN LENNON & YOKO ONO - 'TWO VIRGINS'
Only 5,000 copies of this album which was released on November 28th 1968. Due to the nature of the cover EMI agreed only to press the discs but refused to handle distribution or print the covers. The distribution was subsequently taken up by Track Records and a small independent printing firm 'Technink' was contracted to print the infamous covers.
The 'music' itself was the result of an all-night session of musical experimentation in Lennon's home studio at Kenwood with Yoko Ono and features 'avant-garde' pieces featuring tape loops from John's Mellotron, piano, organ, drums played by John together with sound effects and ad-lib comments and noises with Yoko.
This original UK pressing is on the dark green Apple Records label with the 'Track Record' logo & catalogue number: 613012

The disc is housed within 'Technink Limited' printed cover to house the mono pressing with the printed wording on the front panel.
The covers for the stereo pressing had the text printed on the rear panel.
Complete with original 'Patent Nos.' plain white inner-sleeve.
N.B. Unlike in the U.S., UK copies were not supplied in brown paper bags.CONDITION

Both are clean & bright with just 2/3 light spindle trails around the side 2 centre hole.
Visual: EXCELLENT +
Both playing surfaces are clean & glossy with no clouding or and noticeable scuffs or scratches. Close inspection beneath halogen light reveals only some harmless faint marks from the once or twice this disc has been removed from its inner-sleeve.
Audio: NEAR MINT
This barely played example sounds clean & clear throughout with no clicks, pops or any audible distractions or faults.
Cover: EXCELLENT
A respectable example of this naughty cover which has some even toning on front & rear panels. There is a small red spot to the right of John's arm on the front panel and a single 'thumbnail wrinkles on each panel. There are tiny bruises to the corner tips but both opening edges are sharp & unworn. Both seams & the unworded spine are smooth, unstressed & unsplit.
