JOHN LENNON & YOKO ONO - 'WEDDING ALBUM'


'Wedding Album' was the last in a series of three experimental albums by John Lennon and Yoko Ono. Released in 1969, it consisted of two tracks: side 1 "John & Yoko" - a recording of Lennon and Ono calling to each other, through a range of emotions, over the sound of their heartbeats. Side 2: "Amsterdam", the second side, consists of interviews, conversations, and captured sounds during the couple's famous "Bed-In" honeymoon, after being married on 20 March of that year. The set was presented inside an elaborate but extremely fragile box set designed by John Kosh, who also designed the 'Let It Be' box.

This 100% complete copy contains all original UK-printed components:

'The Press' - a 16-page stapled booklet showing various press cuttings from around the world about John & Yoko.

'The Wedding' - a 2-sided fold-out poster depicting photos from their wedding ceremony in Gibraltar.

A 2-sided poster featuring drawings by John & Yoko.

A 'Bagism' white vinyl bag which contains a picture of a piece of wedding cake.

Photo-strip, postcard & the 'Wedding Album' stereo vinyl LP (SAPCOR 11)

Disc matrix numbers: SAPCOR 11A-1 & SAPCOR 11B-1

Stamper codes: 1/P & 1/P

Disc weight: 150g

The LP is housed inside an outer-laminated 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed gatefold cover.

All the above are contained within a UK manufactured box with a copy of their wedding certificate pasted on the underside of the lid.

N.B. unlike the U.S. edition, the box did not have the set's catalogue number printed on the spine.

All components are 100% original & fully intact with just light handling wear to the paper items.

Flawless playing surfaces with just a single small spindle trail on the side 2 label from the factory.

Cover: EXCELLENT

Clean & fully intact,  downgraded from 'EX+' due only to a bump in the upper right corner.

Box: EXCELLENT

Extremely hard to find this in anything approaching this condition, this fully intact example is clean & complete. The heavy bump to the upper right corner is its only significant flaw. All corners of both the lid and try are fully intact and unsplit the spine is clean & readable.
