Beautifully preserved original 1968 1st pressing on the rarer STEREO varient. Stereo was usually only available on special order and aimed at Hi-Fi buffs - the benefit being was they tended to be well looked after and only played on decent record decks. As usual, the engineers at Decca have made a great job of the recording. mastering and pressing.

The laminated "Clarifoil" gatefold sleeve is in excellent, amazingly well preserved condition and it's hard to believe it dates to 1968.

Front
Nr Excellent. There are six micro stress creases to the spine edge, a very slight knock to one corner and the laminate has shrunk by about 2 mm from the edges. I have received brand new LP's that have been no where near as good

Nr Excellent. A small section of laminated lifting to the top corner near the "peep hole" (see photo) and some barely perceptable yellowing towards the outer edge.

Inner Sleeve:
The blue printedpoly lined STEREO inner sleeve is (as far as I know) original. It has a machine stamped number to one corner but is otherwise excellent with no splits, tears, creases or damage.

Comments: An excellent sleeve that is in remarkable condition for its vintage.

Record:

The disc is not warped in any way. The disc still retains its original sheen with no obvious signs of been played. There are no obvious scuffs and scratches or hairlines. The album plays though with a detailed and powerful analogue sound with only very ocassional low level surface noise on my very revealing hi end Tannoy monitors. In practical terms this is about as good as they get.

Visually: the vinyl looks barely played with nothing to suggest its age. A very well looked after copy.
Play testing: the record delivers pure detailed analogue vinyl sound with just a whiff of very light surface noise (on my high end monitor speakers) on some very quiet/silent sections.

Summary. Excellent sounding and great looking copy delivering detailed playback with no evidence of distortion, clicks or pops or other major defects. Super record.

How I pack:

I use top quality cruciform (pizza box style) mailers along with sheets of highest quality card stiffeners. The disc will be removed from the sleeve and if the inner sleeve is non-generic, I will put the LP in a new generic sleeve to avoid damaging the original. Box sets will be packed in boxes and protected with bubble wrap. I have comprehensive a comprehensive range of packing materials at my disposal, so rest assured, your order should arrive undamaged.

It was 1960: I was eight. My cousin joined the Air Force and gave me his collection of 45’s: a great selection including Elvis and Buddy Holly. Usurping the family Dansette, I became well and truly hooked. By 1964/5 I was also seeing some of my favourite artist live. At the age of 11 I joined by first band playing music on and off over the subsequent years that also gave me experience of working in recording studios. Music is in my blood.
