John Mayall "Blues From Laurel Canyon"
This is an original UK vinyl pressing on Decca SKL 4972 from 1968. This is the stereo pressing on the dark blue label with "Full Frequency Stereophonic Sound" in a silver band above the center hole. This was the first album he recorded after spliting up the Bluesbreakers. This is one of his best albums. Mick Taylor ( later in The Rolling Stones ) plays guitar plus Peter Green plays on one song : "First Time Alone".
Overall Condition is : Cover is M- / Record is M-
The gatefold cover is Mint minus with no writing and no seam splits. There is light ring wear that is only noticable when you look at the laminated cover from an angle. The top right cover has a bend. The vinyl looks mint and it plays near mint. The labels are clean with light spindle marks. The record comes in a plastic lined Stereo Decca inner sleeve with the blue border that shows through the hole in the back cover.
The songs are : Vacation, Walking On Sunset, Laurel Canyon Home, 2401, Ready To Ride, Medicine Man, Somebody's Acting Like A Child, The Bear, Miss James, First Time Alone, Long Gone Midnight, and Fly Tomorrow.
I have been buying and selling records for more than 25 years. I sell records at all Northwest record conventions and at Crossroads Music in Portland, Oregon.
I will package this record between two pieces of hand cut cardboard. One sheet is 3/4 inch thick triple strength industrial cardboard. The other sheet is 1/4 inch double strength cardboard. Together they are very strong and unbendable. ( Even the postmen comment on how strong this cardboard is ! ) It will weigh 22 ounces ( 1 pound, 6 ounces ) when ready to ship. US bidders can figure out your own postage costs for US priority or Media Mail. All US winners will get shipping through Paypal with a tracking number. Overseas buyers must use First Class Mail International. I will let you know the date I mailed your record and the US customs number. ( Buyers from Italy must assume all risks for shipping to their country. ) I will remove the record from the cover and place them in a plastic bag. I will send it as soon as you pay ( same day if before 2 PM and next day if after 2 PM.) I will combine shipping if you win more than one record. There are no handling charges. This record is from a no smoking and no pets home.
