Description

An original mono 1st press of 'Looking Back' on UK Decca. Matrix 1A/1A - 1st cut. Stampers 1C/1K - placing this copy amongst the first few thousand ever pressed. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold cover. Also included is the original red and white inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) In beautiful condition and has only seen very light careful use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT+ level of playback without reservation. Intros and inbetweens are very quiet and the audio comes across with superb clarity. Beautiful mono audio as you would expect from this quality Decca pressing. An absolute humdinger - I can't really imagine going any better than this copy. It is flat out - perfect. All I could detect were a couple of crackles per side. FINAL UPGRADE  easy peasy.
Cover (Ex/Ex+) A bit of a stunner and is remarkably well preserved. That front panel is looking very fine indeed. Shiny and flat like new - without any creasing. That front panel retains perfect rigidity. Ditto the rear - pretty much faultless. The interior is immaculate - no signs of ageing, wear or deterioration at all. There's very little edge wear to speak of and the openings are still sharp. The spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex) Beautifully preserved. No ageing. No splits.
