Description
London Records LL 3492 VG/VG++ MONO 1966. Matrix nos. ARL 7297/ARL 7298 Bell Sound. US original MONO album with PROMO sticker on front cover. The classic debut album from John mayall and the Blues Breakers, featuring a young Eric Clapton on guitar!!! After Clapton left The Yardbirds, John Mayall set out to find him to join his band. Being a blues band, Mayall knew Clapton's desire was to play the blues. Thus, this short lived band, recorded this, its only album. A GEM!!! Many consider Clapton's guitar work on this historic recording to be his very best ever!!! Tough to argue against!! Cover is solid, some spine wear, nice PROMO sticker on front. The vinyl is super shiny, beautifully clean, almost near mint, only the smallest little scuff on side 1, track 5. The red labels have NO spindle marks...
As Always, ALL records are from MY OWN PERSONAL collection of OVER 45 years and again..NO JUNK!!!
I specialize in selling PROMOTIONAL albums in rock n' roll and jazz from the 1960's and 1970's. PROMO albums are usually pressed from the original master tapes in an extremely limited quantity, and are 1ST pressings!!! Many are issued with white labels, others have radio timing strips on the cover, just a promo sticker or gold cover stamps. Given out selectively to radio stations before the stock release, they generally have superior sound quality, are RARE, collectable, and getting VERY SCARCE!!!
PLEASE NOTE: I clean all my records with a PROFESSIONAL Nitty Gritty record cleaning machine, if necessary. I pack ALL records carefully. Records are placed outside of the record cover in a clear plastic record sleeve. Albums are bubble wrapped for safety and mailed in a STRONG cardboard record mailer box.
