John Mayer Continuum 2008 Reissue 2x LP w/Lyrical Inners 180 Gram Vinyl EX/VG+.


For auction is an excellent listeners copy of Continuum by American singer-songwriter and guitarist, John Mayer. His third studio album released in September 2006. It is an obvious departure from his first two records that were purely pop rock, to a more blues and soul rock feel. It also highlights Mayer’s guitar skill that was not on as much display on those previous albums. Continuum was a commercial and critical success in the US peaking at #2 on the Billboard 200. The album features two Top-20 singles, “Waiting On The World To Change” (#14) and “Say” (#12) that both charted on the Billboard Hot 100. The singles, “Gravity” (#71) and “Dreaming With A Broken Heart” (#99) had less success on the same chart. Also, included on the album are now fan favorites, “Belief”, “Slow Dancing In A Burning Room”, “In Repair” and a great cover of the Jimi Hendrix classic, “Bold Is Love”. An example of the guitar skill mentioned above. Continuum was nominated for three Grammy Awards, winning two of them. It was nominated but lost for Album of the Year but took home the statue for Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Male Pop Vocal Performance for “Waiting On The World To Change”. Now considered a classic and one of the best records of the 21st century, Continuum was ranked #486 on Rolling Stone’s list of 500 Greatest Albums of All Time in 2020. It has been certified 4x platinum in the US selling 4 million copies. This copy is a 2008 reissue pressed on 180 gram vinyl.


Vinyl is play graded EX. Both records have a couple of extremely light visible surface marks that are purely superficial. They play with faint background noise if any. Neither has any skips or jumps. Please see pics.


Cover is in VG+ condition. Minor shelf wear on corners and seams but no splits. There is a scratch on front on upper right side near open edge and another on the back, middle left. Some tiny creases along edges of both sides. There is also a bigger one on back on lower left side. Very light ring wear on both sides. Original cardboard inner sleeves are included but clear poly ones are used to protect vinyl. Please see pics.
