John Prine 2nd press UK ST LP EX ’72 Atlantic K40357 Folk Rock
UK reissue LP released in 1972 on Atlantic Records. Cat: K40357.
A revelation upon its release, this album is now a collection of standards: "Illegal Smile," "Hello in There," "Sam Stone," "Donald and Lydia," and, of course, "Angel from Montgomery." Prine's music, a mixture of folk, rock, and country, is deceptively simple, like his pointed lyrics, and his easy vocal style adds a humorous edge that makes otherwise funny jokes downright hilarious.
Tracks : Illegal smile/ Spanish pipedream/ Hello in there/ Sam stone/ Paradise/ Pretty good/ Your flag decal won’t get you into heaven anymore/ Far from me/ Angel from Montgomery/ Quiet man/ Donald and Lydia/ Six o’clock news/ Flashback blues. There are a few light spindle marks on labels. Record has some light scuff marks and is in Excellent condition. Cover has light ringwear and marks and is in Excellent condition.
Wrapping method: All records are sent in stiff cardboard mailers then wrapped in brown paper and sealed around edges with brown packaging tape. Records are taken out of sleeve to avoid seam splits and ring wear.
