Hello and welcome to one of my listings. Primarily I am a collector however from time to time I like to offer items from my collection. I grade very strictly, using the UK Record Grading system- both play grading and visual grading are used, Visual grading is based on inspection under both normal and extreme bright light, as you will see from my feedback I do normally get this right! Description: Lovely copy of this 1970 Apple issued John Tavener album entitled 'The Whale', pressed in relatively small quantities during 1970, this copy comes with its original matte white gatefold sleeve along with its plain white as issued inner sleeve. This gatefold sleeve in particular was always prone to damage owing to the fact of it being non laminated unlike most Apple issued albums of the era, with the white of the sleeve notorious for showing any age related wear very easily, this one however has been stored carefully and survived well!

Condition;
Disc: Excellent Plus: A very clean well maintained copy that only bears a few very light hairlines when viewed under bright light, the play is also as superb as the visual crisp and clean sharp audio with just the occasional areas of soft background in the quieter areas.
Sleeve: Excellent: A lovely example of this 1970 manufactured flipback Garrod and Lofthouse gatefold sleeve, very clean and crisp front/ back panels, the only slight faults being some edge rubbing around the sides, along with a couple of little age spots to the front.
Labels: Near Mint: Two very clean vibrant labels which exhibit one or two tiny spindle trails to both sides.
Inner: Excellent: some neat pencil writting on one side however otherwise in top shape with no splits/ related wear.

Close examination under a bright desk top lamp is used in the grading of vinyl playing surface as well as normal daylight.
