The chances are that if you are looking at this lp, you already know it’s a masterpiece of acid folk, where John takes you on a deep and dark trip of the soul that’s oozing with atmosphere, searching introspection and celebration of his beliefs. The songs are achingly beautiful yet hauntingly simple with John’s heartfelt vocals, layered female backing vocals, gentle acoustic guitars and shimmering, hypnotic synthesisers.
You’ll also probably know how incredibly rare and sought after it is. In fact it’s only the FIFTH ONE EVER that I have seen come up for auction. This is because it was an *extremely limited* run on a private pressing by the tiny label, Sharing.
The sleeve features fabulous monochromatic artwork on both sides. It is made from a very delicate cardboard and so there is naturally some ring wear showing on both sides. Remarkably, it is fully intact and there are no tears at all - just minor creasing and very minor sticker removal on front cover. Grading is VG.
Even more remarkable is that the vinyl looks like it has been played only a handful of times. As you can see in the photos it looks stunning, having lost none of its original lustrous sheen. The spindle hole is very clean indeed. I would comfortably grade the vinyl as NEAR MINT.
The lp will be cleaned on my superb Hanns Acoustic record cleaning machine, so that it is received in the most pristine condition possible. This service is free of charge and the vinyl will also placed in a new anti-static poly inner sleeve before going back into the original paper inner. These poly sleeves protect against sleeve removal hairlines. I will also provide a new plastic sleeve for further protection.
It will be sent in a strong cardboard mailer with double stiffeners and a plastic cover. The vinyl will be removed from the outer sleeve to ensure no further ring wear in transit.
