Johnny Cash - 1st EP
(London RE-S 1120 UK 7" EP 1958)
This is a 1958 UK original 7" EP pressing. It has a fully laminated Picture Sleeve which has rear flipbacks. It has a printing date on the rear sleeve "58. 2". This means that the sleeve was printed in February 1958. It also comes complete with its original polythene EP inner sleeve. The record has burgundy & silver "London" labels which have a Tri-centre. It has 1st press -1C/ -1C matrix stampers. A genuine UK 1st pressing of this classic EP with an early 1958 printing date on the rear sleeve. It was issued on "Sun Records" label in the USA. It includes the classic "I Walk The Line".
Sleeve: There is a very small 1 cm tear at the front sleeve opening. It doesn't notice too much. There is some light laminate peeling at that area on the front. There is a very small piece of chipping to the laminate at the front sleeve opening too. There is some light, mild or very mild rubbing wear to the corner tips. There is some light or very mild ringwear. There are no seam splits. VG+ condition
Vinyl: There are some light or very mild sleeve rubs which can be seen under a strong light. There are two very light 1.5 cm hairline marks. VG++ condition. The labels are in Excellent+ condition & show very light spindle wear only. The polythene EP
inner sleeve is in VG+ condition. There is some light to mild ringwear & creasing.
I have fully play tested this 7" single. It plays VG+ overall & Near Excellent in some places. There is some light or very mild crackle in some quieter places.
