Description
Offered is a rare SEALED copy of "Johnny Cash Sings The Songs That Made Him Famous," released by Sun Records in 1958. The album number on the top left below the Sun logo is SLP 1235 STEREO. SLP 1235 also appears on the back cover at top left and top right. At the bottom of the back cover are listed Other Albums By Johnny Cash with only the album numbers Sun 1220, EPA-111, and EPA-112. This album is completely sealed and I'm pretty sure I purchased it on a music business trip to Memphis, TN in 1973, when I had the wonderful opportunity to explore the hundreds of historic musical gems piled up at the Sun Records warehouse. There is one very small area about a half inch wide at the very bottom center of the record sleeve where it has started to separate, but it is still tight inside the plastic seal, so I'm guessing it's the pressure of age that has caused that to occur, since this record has never been opened.
This record has been in my possession for over 40 years and has been carefully stored in special shelving I had made for my record collection.
