Description

Johnny Cash And The Tennessee Two do the song Ballad Of A Teenage Queen. It is 2 minutes and 7 seconds long and came out in 1957. The flip side is Big River. This is the real thing. The songs were written by J. Clement and J. Cash, respectively. It is a 7" and is a 45 rpm speed. It is a U.S. release on Sun Records, yellow label with brown logo and print. There is a Johnny Cash autograph on the Teenage Queen size and it's cool, for you, because, although I had it signed, he did not sign it to me. It is simply his name in ball point pen. I worked in country radio from 1980 thru 1995. During that time, I saw Cash 8 times. Of those shows, I ended up backstage at 6 and interviewed him twice. I had many things signed by him over the years and this was either signed at the Allegan County Fair in '82 or '83 or possibly at DeVos Hall in '85 or '86. He came to West Michigan many times. Vinyl is in nice shape - I'll give it a VG but it plays VG+. Big River side has some adhesive residue, because for a while, I had this in a frame and I used some tape on that side to keep it in place. I think it can be cleaned off, but I'll let you do that. Even with that, this side plays nice too and you don't really hear it. Great gloss left. The label would fall in the VG+ category, with some very minor wear but no writing (other than the Cash autograph) or stickers. It is Sun Records 283. This is a piece of history! Rare to find the record in the first place and here's one that is signed. Considering what it is, I'm starting at a low minimum bid with no reserve. Good luck!
