Description

This is the original deep groove RVG-etched “P”-pressing of Johnny Griffin “A Blowing Session” on the New York 23 labels of Blue Note BLP 1559.  The playing surface is in near-new condition, with just a single inaudible hairline on Side 2; perhaps played once.  The laminated West 63rd St. cover is in excellent condition – bright and clean throughout – with just normal light age toning around the edges of the back slick; ¼” wear on the bottom seam, at the opening.  Personnel include Lee Morgan, Hank Mobley, John Coltrane, Wynton Kelly, Paul Chambers, and Art Blakey.  $1,500.00.
