Description
Selected titles from the private collection of a music business veteran are now being made available for the first time. Titles offered by this Seller are one-owner and came directly from the pressing plant, record company warehouse, other label reps or record store unless otherwise noted.
Grading is based on visual inspection.
Album ships in a 2 MIL poly cover sleeve.
I package records outside the cover to avoid seam splits.
New and vintage vinyl is hard to grade strictly using eBay’s system because the record and the cover are two different components. Therefore, I call a record new and mint if it is opened but has never been played. I use the grading category to describe the cover condition.
- This is a beautiful package; First Class from the recordings to the packaging.
- These White Label Promos have never been played.
- They are in the original poly-lined thick paper sleeves.
- The gold foil Promo stamp is on the upper left back cover.
- The single piece board gatefold cover has tight seams, a stiff spine and shows no wear.
- Seller got this from the reissue producer, Bob Hurwitz in 1979. It has been in storage for 38 years.

Disc 1 recorded at Columbia Studios, New York City, April 7, 1959. Disc 2 recorded at Nola Studios, New York City, September 8, 1960. Per liner notes, the first disc was scheduled for release as The Smooth One in May of 1961, but no finished copies appear to have escaped the warehouse.
