Description

This is the original Johnny Otis record, "Rock and Roll Hit Parade" on Dig 104. It's in the thick gold cover, and the vinyl is also thick, so it is an original. This is an extremely hard record to find and is valued from $300. (VG) to $900. (NM) in Goldmine's "Catalog Of American Records". Osborne's "Rockin' Records" lists it from $500. to $750. for a copy in NM condition. This record is not in real good condition, and I don't expect to get that kind of price for it. This record is a valuable piece of history, and is also AUTOGRAPHED BY JOHNNY OTIS. It's also autographed by Dewey Terry of Don & Dewey, and Rosie from Rosie & the Originals. I saw these great artists at the 1st annual "Red Beans and Rice" concert in Santa Rosa, CA in 1994. The cover is worn and is carefully taped on the top and bottom. The vinyl also has a few light scratches and scuffs, but I just played it and it plays great except for the normal hisses and pops of a 50 year old record (was recorded in 1957). I'm listing this with a very low reserve, because I don't want to just give it away. A great piece of Rock & Roll history for some collector!! Email me if you have any questions. Thanks for checking out my listings and good luck!!     DadsDustyRecords
