From the archives of a noted Australian rock’n’roll and entertainment historian comes this great piece of early Australian rock’n’roll history. Johnny Rebb & His Rebels. Johnny B. Good / Rebel Rock. 7” 45 Single. RARE Australian TEST PRESSING. July 1958. EMI. 7MA.788/789. Test Pressing. 7XCT.324/325. Misspelling as “Johnny Be Goode” + “Johnny Reb & His Rebels”. This was Johnny Rebb’s first single, released on the Columbia label (cat no: DO-3967), before moving across to the Leedon and Lee Gordon labels at the end of 1958. The record is in Very Good Plus condition, appears very lightly played and almost nothing in the way of crackles in quieter passages. Plain paper sleeve in Very Good Plus condition.
