Up for auction is a 1966 Northern Soul 45 on Josie 45-955. "Shy Girl" is an uptempo floor-filler built for the soul night — tight groove, urgent vocals, and that unmistakable Josie label punch. The flip, "Now That You're Mine," keeps the tempo up with a sweet soul feel that rounds out the single nicely. Led by Johnny Matthews out of New York City, Johnny & The Expressions cut some of the most sought-after sides in the Northern Soul canon, and this is the one that DJs reach for first.


Condition: VG — a strong VG. Vinyl plays clean with minimal surface noise; light marks consistent with careful play. The A-side label has a small jukebox title strip sticker (see photos — not obtrusive, common for spins in the '60s). The B-side label has a minor black marker mark (also pictured, does not affect play). I grade visually and audibly unless noted. Please see photos for full label and vinyl condition.
