Johnny Young & Big Walter ORIG US LP Chicago Blues EX '69 Arhoolie ST1037 Blues

Original US LP released in 1969 on Arhoolie Records. Cat: ST1037.

Although the mandolin is not an instrument commonly associated with Chicago blues, it has been used by Chicago-based string bands or on Chicago-made recordings by artists such as Carl Martin, Charles and Joe McCoy, and Yank Rachell. However, the only artist to use it successfully in the later electric blues format was Mississippi-born bluesman Johnny Young.

There are a few light spindle marks on labels. Record has a few light scuff marks and is in Excellent condition. Cover has a few light marks and is in Excellent condition.

Wrapping method: All records are sent in stiff cardboard mailers then wrapped in brown paper and sealed around edges with brown packaging tape. Records are taken out of sleeve to avoid seam splits and ring wear.
