Johnnys ORIG OZ LP Highlights of a dangerous life NM '86 Mushroom L42004 Cowpunk


Original OZ LP released in 1986 on Mushroom Records. Cat: L42004. Comes in die-cut gatefold sleeve.

...Countryish r'n'r outfit with a fair-to-middlin' disc that showcases their agreeable, pumped-up cowpunk. Despite the LP's obvious Western flair...the bright guitars and tight, infectious harmonies sounded more Brit invasion than they did from the lonesome prairie (or outback). But The Johnnys are no mere coattail riders; their "Injun Joe" is a fine tune  and is the record's linchpin. Along with this, they dish up some good covers ("Showdown," "Move It," and "Greenback Dollar") alongside some fine originals (especially the tongue-in-cheek "The Day Marty Robbins Died")...

 There are no signs of spindle marks on labels. Record is in Near Mint condition. Gatefold die-cut cover has light ring wear, light marks and a light water mark on front bottom half of cover and is in VG+ condition.


Wrapping method: All records are sent in stiff cardboard mailers then wrapped in brown paper and sealed around edges with brown packaging tape. Records are taken out of sleeve to avoid seam splits and ring wear.
