Up for Auction:
Johnson Steel Slide Mandolin MA Series A-Style
I'm selling this, along with other stringed instruments, for a friend of mine (see my other auctions). He shared the following:
Bought this from my neighbor, who I pick with, as a favor when he fell on hard times thinking I would pick it up. Never did. Never played it. I don’t think he played it much either. Subsequently it’s in great shape. Hope it goes to someone who plays it. Feel bad for this guy sitting in the case all these years.
The mandolin is in GOOD to VERY GOOD condition. There are a couple of scuff marks or very small scratches. The worst is pictured above. The others wouldn't show up in the camera...too shiny I guess :) I couldn't find any rust on it.
Not sure of the age, there's nothing on it to help date it.
The 2016 Official Vintage Guitar Magazine Price Guide has this to say:
MA Series A-Style Mid-1990s - 2013. Import, A-style copy. Several levels offered. Low condition: $100 High condition: $150
The case is in VERY GOOD condition. The Mandolin sits snuggly in it and all zippers work. It has a regular short fabric handle along with two backpack-style adjustable straps.
Look over the listing carefully, I'll answer any questions the best I can. I can send more pics if needed.
Mandolin is being offered AS-IS...No Returns.
Thanks for looking.
