Description
Up for sale is an Autographed copy of Jon Hassell's "DREAM THEORY IN MALAYA: FOURTH WORLD VOLUME TWO" on the Editions EG label catalogue # EGM 114, from 1981. This album is from my personal record collection and the vinyl itself has been played maybe twice as I made taped copies of my new records and played those. The outer jacket is in good condition, but does show some signs of wear and handling. *I may have purchased this used way back when, I don't recall offhand, so some existing cosmetic mars would have been pre-existing. They are: front cover-signs of shelf contact and wear on all corners-mostly very minimal. A dime-sized tear-away of the blue 'frame' paper, bottom right corner slightly puckered, shelf wear, slight rounding and wear indication from record inside at the top and bottom centers, though minimal. Back cover reveals upper left corner has a slight wrinkle, but it does not go through to the front side, bottom left reveals a slight pucker. Right spine side has some marring on the blue background with a bit of slightly sticky material. And again, as on the front cover, rounding imprints from the vinyl inside on both top and bottom centers of the backside jacket. It is personally Signed on the lower central portion of the back jacket under his photos. The inside paper sleeve is in nice clean condition with only minimal signs of wear that include tiny fraying at the top center, some minimal puckering on the rounded edges of the sleeve. The vinyl itself is in near mint condition. No scratches, no ghosting, no warping, just a super clean vinyl record!
Jon Hassell is a trumpet player extraordinaire. He weaves ambient, almost whispering trumpet voice into atmospheric melodies over world music and blends it all together in mysterious songworks with additional synthesizers, percussion items, bells & gongs etc. played by a very impressive gathering of influential musicians including Brian Eno, Daniel Lanois, Michael Brook and others.
