LP: Joni Haastrup: Wake Up Your Mind Original Nigerian Press on Afrodisia from 1978

Grade: Cover: Vg showing it's age and country of origin. Light touch ups to corners of sleeve have been done Vinyl: Vg++ plays really nicely

Comment: Haastrup was one of the true movers and shakers on the nigerian music scene in the seventies and this is his only LP as leader. Very consistent afro funk/ boogie lp that should be filed beside Blo, The Funkees and of course Monomono (Haastrup is the lead for Monomono). I love the tracks Free My People and Greetings but the whole thing is pretty rediculous.
