I have had an enquiry as to whether this is the very first 1978 original.To be honest since it is not mine I have no idea.I have just laid out all the pics and information as I see it.There is no date on the label.I have just taken some more pics of the label to see if it helps.I have also found some info on musicstack.com and included it below,so if anyone wants to get in touch with them to make sure.I have submitted all the info on the run out groove so I am sorry this is all I can do to assist.If I can be of more assistance,please contact me,thank you

Very rare original 1977 UK Anonymous label 4-track 12" single - legendary Manchester quartets debut EP featuring four dark and hectic driven, roughly produced tracks - more anger than despeair, but in every way pointing towards 'Unknown Pleasures'. The 'An Ideal For Living' 12" EP was manufactured limited to solely 1200 copies with black and silver printed company labels with large fonted, capital lettered company name above centre hole and handetched matrix information: Side 1: ANON 1-A LYN 5782-1M DON'T EVER LET IT FADE AWAY MAX Side 2: ANON 1-B LYN 5783-1M MAX I FEEL IT CLOSING IN stating that vinyl is manufactured by Lyntone Recordings Ltd., mastered by Maxwell Anandappa. Vinyl is held in a matt finish picture cover. Condition: VG++ (Vinyl and Labels)/VG+(+) (Cover): Vinyl still retains its original lustre and has a little light wear from the friction between the sleeve and vinyl - by far nothing needle induced. Labels are without any signs of play or handling and vinyl and is graded straight near mint. Cover has a smaller series of marginal defects - an unusual ligt degree of edge, vinyl outline and corner wrinkling, a little superficial creasing which is more profound on back than front, almost no wear or pressure. Cover has firmly intact and straight seams, almost no wear or denting to corners - a simply extremely attractive cover, which is graded close to near perfect/excellent.
