Description
Box File. No catalogue number. This was a bootleg release in 1981 which gathered together and re-issued three previously available, non-authorized LPs: Komakino, Warsaw, and Le Terme, in an unlabeled, 12 1/4 X 12 1/4 X 3/8ths inch black, semi-gloss box. A single sheet of xeroxed paper (seen in photos 2 and 3) is all the information that came with it. The entire package was originally shrink-wrapped, with this sheet of paper on the top. On the records' labels is an illustration of a guy wearing a fedora, reading a newspaper, in the rain. Each of the three is a different color:
Silver label - Komakino, live at the Lyceum, 2/29/1980, side 1: Wilderness, 24 Hours, The Eternal, Heart and Soul, Love Will Tear Us Apart (run-off: JD 1-A). Side 2: Isolation, Komakino, She's Lost Control, These Days, Atrocity Exhibition (run-off: JD 1-B).
Green label - Warsaw, 1978 studio recordings, side 1: All of this for You [the Drawback], Leaders of Men, They Walked in a Line, Failures, Novelty, No Love Lost (run-off: JD 3). Side 2: Transmission, Ice Age, Interzone, Warsaw, Shadowplay (run-off: JD 4).
Blue Label - Le Terme, studio stuff, Peel show stuff, and concert from 4/19/1980, side 1: Digital, Glass, Dead Souls, Exercise One, Sound of Music, Love Will Tear Us Apart (run-off: JD-5). Side 2: Wilderness, Insight, Isolation, These Days, Transmission, She's Lost Control (run-off: JD-6).
The pressings are not the best, and so there are occasional clicks and pops. But the real bad news is an ugly, fairly deep scratch about 1/3rd of an inch long (seen in the 7th photo), cutting across the last song on the second side of Le Terme (She's Lost Control), which was there when I bought these records. Its width and strange shape make me think it might have been a manufacturing defect.
Aside from the above notes, the photos are the best indication of condition.
