Joy Division - Closer LP - Factory Records FACTUS VI - 1981 First US Pressing w/ textured sleeve - VG+
This was the second album from Joy Division, issued in the UK by Factory Records in July 1980 (two months after Ian Curtis's death), but not released in the US until the following summer.
First US pressing features textured sleeve and textured printed inner sleeve with rounded corners (subsequent issues had smooth finsh and squared corners). Vinyl appears purple translucent when held up to light (purple is believed to be the very first pressing of all the US variants). No insert sheets. Can also be identfied thru matrix runout info. Please feel free to verify features of various release versions on Discogs if you have any concerns.
Overall condition is VG+EX. Vinyl is VG+/EX with some light scuffing aznd figermarks on side 2 label. Sleeve is VG+/EX, still in shrinkwrap with minor corner/edge wear along sleeve opening. Inner sleeve is NM, no evident flaws.

Following the release of this album, the remaining band members re-formed as New Order.

Shipping in US via USPS Ground Advantage, it's a bit more expensive but you'll get it quicker with less likelihood of loss or damage. (The only shipments I've ever had "go missing" were sent Media Mail.) Shipping to other countries is via eBay International Shipping.
