Original UK LP released in 1980 on Factory Records. Cat: FACT25. Comes with slightly textured printed inner bag which is in Excellent condition.
CLOSER is the second and final album by Joy Division, arguably the most influential U.K. band of their generation. Arriving just months after lead singer Ian Curtis' suicide, it stands as a fragile document of one man's despair, as much as a definitive statement by a band at the height of their powers. While Joy Division's much-lauded debut, Unknown pleasures, demonstrated their transformation from shambolic punks into a tight, highly focused quartet, Closer cemented their status as musicians at the vanguard of modern rock. Introducing a more vibrant and expansive sound palette adding mournful pianos and funereal strings the album is a sprawling, poignant last chapter of a band that seemed, at the time, to have unlimited potential for greatness.

Record has some light scuff marks and very light scratches that cause some light crackles and is in VG+ condition. Slightly textured sleeve has light ring wear and marks and is in VG++ condition.

Wrapping method: All records are sent in stiff cardboard mailers then wrapped in brown paper and sealed around edges with brown packaging tape. Records are taken out of sleeve to avoid seam splits and ring wear.
Post methods within Australia: All records are posted via Australia Post. Within Australia all items come with a tracking number.
Post method for overseas: All parcels are sent via Australia Post and are sent on a standard airmail service. There are no tracking numbers on these items. If you require a tracking number the item will have to be sent as an insured item which incurs a further postage fee.
